Thanks for all the information you provide.
I was told that all isolated ground receptacles must be orange. Does the NEC contain this requirement? If so what section?

Hi Sam, thanks for the comments and participating.
The short answer is no. An isolated ground receptacle is required to be identified with a orange triangle on the face of the receptacle. The receptacle color can be any as provided by the manufacturer. The NEC Section is 406.3(D). As an aside, in the past IG receptacles were all orange in color and there may still be some of those in use today.
