Question:
Hi, Charlie. I've been a CQD subscriber for many years - at least since 2009 when I began saving most of them! I have over 1600 saved on my computer! Concerning the CQD 9/23/15 and Dedicated Equipment Space...why is "Dedicated Equipment Space" such as this not required in 110 Part III, for equipment over 600V installed indoors? Keep up the good work.

Answer:
Hey HT thanks for your question and the compliment. That's quite a collection of CQD's! There is a similar rule for some equipment rated over 600 Volts in 110.34(F). Foreign systems are not allowed in the vicinity of service equipment, switchgear, or industrial control assemblies. Protection from leaks and breaks in piping might be necessary if they could cause damage. Not as clear as the wording in 110.26(E) but something.
