Question:
Does a "stack" or "twin" circuit breaker count as one or two "motions of the hand"? We are adding a 120v circuit to feed house sewer control panels. Most all of the homes outside power panel is full (6 space) and need to replace a double pole with a double pole stack breaker to accommodate the additional circuit. By adding a double pole stack, in my opinion, is still "one motion of the hand". Your thoughts?

Answer:
Hey Nick thanks for your question. Maybe someone with large fingers can operate multiple circuit breakers at the same time but each circuit breaker handle is required to be counted. Multiple circuit breakers, for multiwire circuits, are allowed to exceed the 6, if connected together with identified handle ties.
