Question:
Re: CQD answer published Monday, November 14, 2016 -Panelboard in Restroom2
For the answer to the CQTD for Friday, November 11th, which was asking if a 200 amp load center could be installed in a commercial office building restroom, we might want to add a Code reference to 230.70(A)(2) which prohibits a service disconnecting means from being installed in any bathroom (commercial or residential). So in other words, if this 200 ampere load center (panelboard) contains a main disconnecting means, it would be prohibited from being installed in this commercial restroom (with or without the shower).

Answer:
Hey Keith good hear from you and thanks for the additional reference, that could change the answer. If the panelboard is supplied by service conductors then it is not allowed to be located in a bathroom as stated in 230.70(A)(2).
