Question:
How many outlets (including GFCI) can be included on a 20-amp kitchen circuit for small appliances?
Keith Bernhard
A
Answer:
Hey Keith thanks for your question. Each 2-wire small appliance branch circuit must be calculated at 1500 volt-amperes as stated in 220.52(A). Receptacle outlets for "general use" must be calculated at 180 volt-amperes as stated in 220.14(I) unless exempted by 220.14 (J) or (K) but the 1500 VA takes care of that so there is no limit.
