Hey David thanks for your question.
Grounding electrode conductors (GEC) are sized based on Table 250.66 unless one of the provisions in 250.66 (A), (B), or (C) allows a smaller size.
Equipment grounding conductors (EGC) are sized based on Table 250.122 unless one of the provisions in 250.122 (A) through (F) apply.
Table 250.102(C)(1) is new for the 2014 NEC and is used to size main bonding jumpers, system bonding jumpers, supply side bonding jumpers and also grounded conductors that are intended to carry fault current.
