Question:
Charlie, I have another grounding electrode question for your brilliant mind. New construction with a Ufer ground; copper water pipe feed from the main to the water meter; PEX pipe from the water meter to fixtures. Question: does a ground wire need to be run to the copper water feed?
Dave Rutkowski
A
Answer:
Hey Dave thanks for your question and the compliment. Yes, if a water pipe meets the conditions in 250.52(A)(1) it must be bonded to other electrodes that exist as stated in 250.50. The connection must be made as stated in 250.68(C).
