Question:
Re: CQD answer published Thursday, February 2, 2017 -NM Cable in Wet Location Box
The problem with running Romex (Type NM) cable from the inside of a building through a conduit to a weatherproof box on the outside is that the box will be subject to condensation due to the warm air from inside the building and the cold moist air surrounding the exterior box. An approved sealant would have to be used to separate the warm inside air from the cold outside air.

Hey Willie thanks for your comment. Although the wording in 300.7 only includes "raceways and sleeves" sealing cable entries with an approved sealant can help reduce condensation problems.
