Question:
Section 250.92A states service items to be bonded, 250.92B1,2,3,4 list items or ways to bond services. In a recent discussion at a continuing education course, grounding locknuts in lieu of bonding bushings with a supply side bonding jumper as per 250.102C was questioned.
To me it state either / or, provided the knockouts is punched to the correct size.
Concentric or eccentric ko’s would require supply side bonding jumpers. Thank you as always

Answer:
Hey Ed thanks for your question and you are welcome. Yes, the first sentence of 250.92(B) states that bonding jumpers are necessary around impaired connections such as where oversized, concentric or eccentric knockouts exist. If the hole or knockout is the correct size for the raceway then bonding locknuts are acceptable without a bonding jumper as stated in 250.92(B)(4).
