Question:

Re: CQD answer published Tuesday, March 29, 2016 -TV's in Dental Office

Tell John this has already been done! My dentist here in Montrose, Colorado just opened a new office building, complete with flat screen TVs on the ceiling in EACH procedure area. There are also computer monitors (32" perhaps?) upon which they can display your x-rays. They also have a water feature complete with aspen trees, illuminated with color-changing LED lighting and full-length floor-to-ceiling windows in the hygiene areas. There is no issue with mounting them as long as adequate structure for mounting is provided and a receptacle outlet is provided in the ceiling tile behind the each TV or monitor. The water feature did prompt a site visit just to hammer out any Article 517 issues! We were able to avoid issues there by providing a wrought iron railing to separate the patient care space from the water feature area. Too bad Milwaukee is so far away! Perhaps you could tell your dentist to see this website: https://www.facebook.com/Dr.DanHatch/ There are numerous pictures of the new facility.

Answer:

Hey Grant thanks for sharing. It seems that your dentist is definitely considering the patients comfort. John, it might be worth the trip if the pictures don't convince your dentist.
