Question:

At a service, is a grounding electrode conductor permitted to terminate on an equipment grounding terminal bar, if a main bonding jumper is connected between the neutral busbar and the equipment grounding terminal bar?

Answer:

Yes. The general rule is that a grounding electrode conductor terminates at a service neutral busbar. However, Section 250-24(a)(4) allows it to connect to the equipment grounding terminal bar if a main bonding jumper in the form of a wire or busbar is installed from that terminal bar to the neutral bar.
