Question:
Are conductors operating at 277 volts (with 600 volt insulation) permitted to occupy the same raceway or enclosure as conductors operating at 48 volts (with 300 volt insulation)?
A
Answer:
Yes. Section 300-3(c)(1) requires that all conductors occupying the same enclosure or raceway have insulation rated no less than the maximum circuit voltage (in this case 277 volts).
