Electrical Code Coalition

The Electrical Code Coalition was formed in 1996, with NECA leading the effort. The objectives of this coalition, known at the time as the Electrical Inspection Initiative, were to increase industry focus and emphasis on electrical safety though quality electrical inspections.

The coalition met recently to review and revise the original proclamation and obtain signatures from the CEOs of all contributing organizations. NECA was very instrumental in the establishing of the coalition and supports its causes. NECA’s CEO John Grau, is the only remaining CEO that appeared on the original document in 1996. The revised proclamation is expected to be signed by all participating organizations by early summer.
