Question:
Have 44' of linear light fixtures in a row made up of 8' and 4' fixtures. 2 of them are emergence lights . Can I feed both the EM power and regular down the same end and thru the row of fixtures to the other end using the EM power where needed.
Steve Jones
A
Answer:
Hey Steve thanks for your question. No. Emergency circuits must be kept entirely independent from other wiring as stated in 700.10(B). Emergency circuits and normal circuits can be in exit or emergency luminaires as stated in 700.10(B)(2) but the emergency circuit cannot be in luminaires that are supplied only by non-emergency circuits - the entire row.
