Question:
Hi,
I am running a metal conduit on the outside of my house. On one end it is fastened to a plastic liquid tight and on the other it goes to a plastic outdoor box fastened to the wall. Four 20A stranded circuits (4 black 4 white 3 green) run thru it. Does the metal conduit in this situation need to be grounded?
J.E.
A

Hello J.E.
Without any other details to go by in the questions the answer would be yes, the metal conduit is required to be grounded. See Section 250.109 and all of the details and conditions provided in 250.110.
