Question:
Greetings,
In regards to article 210.8(A)(2) would a residential workshop constructed on top of a footing and stem wall with a wood floor over a crawl space be considered an accessory building “at or below grade level” that would require all receptacle outlets to be GFCI protected?
Tim Iverson
A
Answer:
Hi Tim,
Without much more detail to go by in the question, the structure mentioned would generally be considered an accessory building as referred to from 210.8(A)(2). This would trigger the GFCI requirements for receptacles mentioned in 210.8(A).
