Question:
Greetings CQD,
For a hot tub that is straight 240 volt (no neutral) 50 amp, does the NEC address whether the required GFCI breaker should be in the sub panel, or in the main panel?
Ken Harris
A
Answer:
Hello Ken,
Based on the question, the GFCI protective device could be installed in either location. You might want to check the installation instructions for the GFCI as some require a connection to the ungrounded (neutral) conductor.
