Question:
Dear Code Question of the Day,
Is it permissible to put two wires under a breaker given that the wire is rated for the breaker?
Fred Bunce
A
Answer:
Hi Fred,
Connecting two wires to a circuit breaker is acceptable, if the breaker is equipped with terminals designed and intended for two conductors. Section 110.14(A) of the NEC indicates that terminals for more than one conductor and terminals used to connect aluminum shall be so identified.
