Electrical Construction Safety Partnership Seeks OSHA Training Class, Multi-Region Study on Lineman Culture

Mar 18, 2005

MYR Group Inc., writing for Transmission & Distribution World magazine, states a group representing 70% of the United States' electrical transmission and distribution contractors is proposing a 10-hour OSHA class for electrical transmission and distribution contractors. The group also wishes to launch a "series of focus groups exploring the lineman culture."

The aim with these efforts is to protect the 40,000 workers in the T&D field and to make the fundamental changes that lead to fewer injuries and deaths on the job.
