Question:
Can we use butt splices on the fluorescent to LED lamp Conversion in an existing fluorescent fixture? The lighting fixtures use 75 VDC. And we are try to use butt splices to bypass the fluorescent ballast.

Hey Jian thanks for your question. Yes, unless the luminaire manufacturer or the retrofit kit manufacturer specify something different. Retrofit kits must be listed as stated in 410.6. Make sure the splices are rated for the voltage level and type and for the type of conductor you are splicing and for the temperature. Any instructions included with the splices must also be followed as stated in 110.3(B).
