Question:

I'm a superintendent for a Major builder in NV and I have a stupid question can someone please tell me the code for hooking the dishwasher and Garbage disposal together I have a homeowner who's trying to say it's not legal can you tell me where to find this in the code book

Answer:

Hey Shandon thanks for your question and it is not stupid. There are some additional details that could apply based on other protection requirements for those appliances but it seems you are asking about supplying both from one branch circuit. Depending on the equipment ratings, if they are fastened in place, and how they are connected; both appliances on one branch circuit might exceed the values as stated in 210.21(B) and 210.23.
