Question:
Can a 120 Volt line and the cable TV cable be in the same J box?
Russ Guard
A
Answer:
Hey Russ thanks for your question. The general answer is no they are not permitted to be in the same junction box. as stated in 820.133(A)(c). Exception 1 allows separation to be provided by a permanent barrier or listed divider. Exception 2 allows them to be in the same junction box if the power circuit is used solely for the coaxial cable distribution system and a space of 1/4 inch is maintained.
