Question:
Good morning, Code Friends, are there any Articles/Sections in code that you think commonly get missed/overlooked? I guess there could be a different answer for each of designer, installer, and inspector, but love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for providing this great forum, Cole Trickle

Answer:
Hi Cole, two (2) topics that come to mind are the following:
- The requirements in Article 250 are often misapplied/interpreted. This can be attributed to the misuse of the grounding and bonding terminology. The terms grounding/bonding/grounded are used universally which creates confusion on the application of the rules.
- The requirements in Articles 700, 701, and 702 for Emergency, Legally Required Standby, and Optional Standby systems are often misapplied. This again comes down to the misuse of terminology. Generators, regardless of the intended use are often referred to as the Emergency Generator/System which creates a misapplication of the rules.
